  • Drop off at the front door: bleach, latex gloves in all sizes
  • Also needed: shoe covers, gowns and cans of pure pumpkin
  • Money: veterinary care, testing, medications, cleaning and general animal care

The shelter is a nonprofit that receives no government funding, so it's leaning on donations. If you can't give, the shelter said sharing its fundraiser helps, too.

Parvo is highly contagious and can be deadly, especially for younger dogs. Puppies between 6 and 20 weeks old face greater risk, according to the American Veterinary Medical Association. Signs include lethargy, vomiting and severe, often bloody, diarrhea. We suggest calling your vet right away if you see them.
