  • Meta Data Center presented its 2025 Community Action Grant recipients on May 22 in Gallatin, awarding funds to local nonprofits and schools for STEAM education and community projects.   • The Sumner County Sheriff’s Office warns residents about phone scams where callers spoof the sheriff’s number to demand payment for fake warrants, missed jury duty or bonds—often asking for cryptocurrency or gift cards, and officials stress that law enforcement will never call to request money over the phone.  Sumner County Source

SPORTS NEWS

  • Longtime sports reporter Tommy Bryan retired from Main Street Media of Tennessee on June 3 after more than 45 years covering local high school and college sports in Wilson County — earning him multiple hall of fame inductions — and he now plans to enjoy his well-earned retirement.  Hendersonville Standard
  • Watertown quarterback Blake Waldorf confirmed his transfer to Friendship Christian where he will serve as the starting signal-caller — following Luke Sellars’ move to Lebanon High School — and he finished last season with 2,688 passing yards and 26 touchdowns. The rising junior joins a high-powered team that won the Division II-A East Region championship last fall.  Hendersonville Standard
  • East Robertson and White House Heritage had several players and coaches named to the 2025 All-Robertson County baseball team after a strong finish in the TSSAA state tournament.
