  • The City of Hendersonville will host its second annual arts festival on Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 10 at Sanders Ferry Park where residents can enjoy local art booths, food vendors, and live music. Organizers say the free event will celebrate creativity and support both local and national artisans.  Sumner County Source

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Tennessee High School Senior Real Estate Licensing Program began accepting applications on April 1 for 2026 from high school seniors in the state. Sponsored by the Tennessee Real Estate Commission (with a focus on economically distressed counties), the free program offers the base education needed to pursue a real estate license and is limited to about 100 participants.  Sumner County Source

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Multiple highway projects in Middle Tennessee have triggered lane closures for repairs, utility work, and paving on I-24, I-65, I-40, and several state roads starting April 19 and continuing until April 25. Drivers should *plan ahead* for intermittent closures affecting local routes.  Sumner County Source
