  • The Tennessee Department of Health released its October disciplinary action report, detailing penalties for healthcare professionals in middle Tennessee.   • This holiday season, local residents are encouraged to learn the warning signs of suicide and seek help if needed as mental health challenges may worsen due to holiday stress (including isolation and financial strain). SPORTS NEWS

  • Green Hill High School's girls basketball team, with an 8+0 record, defeated Wilson Central 70-46 Tuesday in their District 7-4A opener at home; sophomore KT Tolbert led with 23 points, underlining both teams' playoff hopes.  Hendersonville Standard
  • Creek Wood High basketball teams played last week, with the girls winning 60-34 against Sycamore and 56-22 against Rossview while the boys lost 42-49 to Sycamore and 48-72 to Rossview.  Hendersonville Standard
  • Merrol Hyde girls and boys teams secured wins over Greenbrier — the girls won 52-46 led by Emma Kate O’Neill and the boys triumphed 67-49 with strong support from Bennett Altepeter.  Hendersonville Standard
