- ➤ Hendersonville Parks and Recreation and HolidayFest launch the Festival of Lights today, offering a self-guided tour of holiday light displays running nightly from 5 to 10 p.m. until Dec. 31 (a Christmas parade and tree lighting in Memorial Park are set for Dec. 7). Hendersonville Standard
- ➤ Belmont Interior Design students, including Hendersonville’s Sarah Gierla, reimagined a vacant building in Nunnelly as The Duck Pond — a future nonprofit childcare center in Hickman County that will initially serve 50 children and potentially double its capacity. Hendersonville Standard
- ➤ The Hendersonville Firefighters Association partnered with Feed Sumner to host a food drive during the Christmas Parade on Sunday, Dec. 7 at 2 p.m. All seven fire stations have served as donation drop-off points since October, and the event may become a yearly tradition. Hendersonville Standard
- ➤ Peyton’s Place—located at Seven Rays Ranch in Cottontown—opened in April and now offers free, one-family-at-a-time visits for children and adults with autism and sensory needs. - ➤ Doeren Mayhew acquired McMurray Fox effective Nov. 10, adding offices in Hendersonville and Gallatin and three principals to enhance local tax and audit services. Hendersonville Standard

- ➤ Puckett's in Hendersonville will host a birthday party for Taylor Swift on Saturday, Dec. 13 with events including a live performance by Brittany Bishop and fan sing-alongs — all held at 1039 Glenbrook Way — where guests will enjoy a celebratory cake and evening specials. Sumner County Source
- ➤ The Beautiful Hendersonville Committee and the Hendersonville Arts Council are creating a wall of historical photos at City Hall. Residents can submit pictures by email to [email protected] or in person at City Hall (101 Maple Dr. North) until year-end to help capture the city’s past. Hendersonville Standard

- ➤ Cheese products sold in local grocery stores have been recalled by Great Lakes Cheese Co after metal fragments were found in raw materials. Consumers should check labels and lot numbers on affected items and return or discard them safely. Sumner County Source
