GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The City of Hendersonville honored three employees by naming Deputy Fire Marshal Chris Willyard for August, Katie Curtis for September and Andy McFarlin for October—city leaders praised their hard work as a key part of keeping local services strong. The awards recognize the extra roles they took on to support multiple departments and maintain city facilities.  Sumner County Source

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Nearly every local store is selling poinsettias, and UT horticulture expert Lucas Holman said the plants do best between 65 and 75 degrees and should be watered only when the soil feels dry (your finger is the best tool) to avoid root rot from foil wrappers holding water. Homeowners are advised to keep the plants away from cold drafts and windows to maintain their bright bracts and support local garden centers.  Hendersonville Standard
