- ➤ The HolidayFest Hendersonville Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting will take place on December 7 at 2 p.m.—the parade will travel down Main Street with over 50 floats, entertainers and Santa, and the tree will be lit at Memorial Park immediately afterward; those wishing to join the parade can register via HolidayFestTN.org. - ➤ Franklin’s Fruit Tea, an artisan beverage brand from Tennessee, was awarded $50,000 in the Pharrell Williams pitch competition on November 14th in Miami—one of the top six finalists out of over 2,500 applicants. Co-founded by Mylikia and Germayle Franklin, the company will use the funds to boost production and expand its cold-storage capacity for broader retail distribution. Sumner County Source

- ➤ Rookie wide receiver Elic Ayomanor will miss Sunday’s game against the Seahawks after suffering a hamstring injury, and defensive backs Xavier Woods and Kendell Brooks are also out due to injuries. - ➤ Portland’s men’s team rallied in the fourth quarter to secure a 54-45 season-opening road win against Hendersonville — Dalton and Calvert led the late surge after a slow start.
