- ➤ Main Street columnist Tom Adkinson won three awards from the Tennessee Outdoor Writers Association Excellence in Craft competition for his Tennessee Traveler columns. He earned first place for news writing on an article about East Tennessee's recovery from Hurricane Helene and additional awards for columns on Great Smoky Mountains hikes and backroad tours with Fisher Off-Road Adventures (awards were announced at TOWA’s meeting at Reelfoot Lake’s Blue Bank Resort).
