- ➤ At its Oct. 21 meeting, the Sumner County Board of Education approved a four-year contract extension for Director of Schools Dr. Scott Langford—raising his annual salary to $225,000 and extending his contract through June 30. - ➤ Sumner County’s health department released the lowest food health scores from Oct. 13 to Oct. 28, 2025 — in Hendersonville, Fulin’s Asian Cuisine scored 92 on Oct. 15, Chop House scored 93 on Oct. 27, Roma Pizza & Pasta scored 93 on Oct. 23, and China Buffet & Grill scored 94 on Oct. 24. - ➤ Health inspectors awarded a perfect 100 score to several food service and tattoo establishments in Sumner County, including those in Hendersonville—inspections that were conducted from October 13th to October 28th. - ➤ Lebanon’s girls cross country team qualified for its first TSSAA state meet since 1999 when it finished fourth at Sanders Perry Park on Tuesday with Rylee Rogers finishing in 19 minutes, 55 seconds.
