  • Today kicks off the 6th Annual Hendersonville Pig Fest at Veteran’s Park, hosted by HolidayFest and Parks and Recreation to support local charities Mary’s Magical Place, LiveLoveNashville, Grace Place and Christmas4Kids. The three-day event features a steak dinner and silent auction today—followed by a Friday night concert and Saturday family activities including live pig races and college football.  Sumner County Source

SPORTS NEWS

  • Riley Akins, a junior bowler from Creek Wood High, committed to Tennessee Wesleyan to continue her bowling career. She said the team feels like home (with familiar faces like Will and Katie) and she hopes to improve her score to at least 280.  Hendersonville Standard
  • Hendersonville hockey claimed the Rock Castle Cup for the first time on Monday—beating rival JPII 6-3 at Centennial Sportsplex. TSSAA also launched its Student Advisory Committee with 20 students this spring to give student-athletes a voice in school sports.  Hendersonville Standard
