- ➤ Kroger Health announced on Oct. 14 that it will host National Prescription Drug Take Back Day events at local pharmacies from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 25 — law enforcement officers will be on site to accept unwanted or expired medications. Sumner County Source

- ➤ TSSAA released the Week 9 high school football schedule for teams in ten counties including a game at Station Camp in Hendersonville — most matches are set for October 17 as fall break means some teams are not playing.
