- ➤ Hendersonville city council approved an ordinance that requires vape shops to be at least 1,000 feet away from each other and from schools—this measure is meant to protect kids and manage local business growth as Mayor Jamie Clary compared the rules to liquor store regulations and local owner Ashley Smothers said the limits may help her shop compete. - ➤ TBI, along with state Departments of Mental Health, Substance Abuse Services and Health, issued a safety alert today on the appearance of Medetomidine in the illicit drug supply - it is often mixed with fentanyl to create a dangerous combination that could lead to overdoses.
