COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Hosted by the Hendersonville Area Chamber of Commerce and The Streets of Indian Lake, Taste of Hendersonville 2025 will run Thursday, September 25th from 5 to 8 p.m. and feature over 1,000 neighbors enjoying food from local restaurants, food trucks and caterers, live music and a People’s Choice vote—this rain-or-shine event welcomes families and food lovers.  Sumner County Source
  • Long Hollow Suri Alpacas will host the 19th Annual National Alpaca Farm Days in Gallatin from September 27th to 28th — the event lets families see alpacas up close, feel the fleece, tour the farm, learn about raising alpacas, and shop for alpaca products with free admission. Bring your picnic lunch to enjoy a fun day together.  Sumner County Source

CULTURE NEWS

  • The first annual Rock-N-STOL Concert will launch Music City STOL with live country music at Gallatin’s Music City Airport on October 10. Headliner Tyler Hubbard — accompanied by Connor McCutcheon and Brooke Lee — will perform to benefit BOLD Aviation flight scholarships for local youth.  Sumner County Source

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Gas prices dropped one penny on average last week in Tennessee with the state average now at $2.77—unchanged from last month and a penny higher than a year ago. AAA said drivers might see benefits if lower crude oil prices and reduced gasoline demand continue.  Hendersonville Standard

SPORTS NEWS

  • Beech defeated Upperman 42-27 on the road—quarterback Kaden Powell rushed for 213 yards and threw key plays while Chelton Swafford scored three touchdowns—and the team, now 3-1, will travel to Hunters Lane for their next matchup.  Hendersonville Standard
