  • The Sumner Garden Courts complex in Gallatin opened 48 new affordable housing units after a grand opening held Wednesday—Elmington Property Management now offers two-bedroom apartments at $1,200 and three-bedroom units at $1,400 per month for local families earning approximately $40,000 a year. The project, funded through low-income housing tax credits, aims to ease financial stress by ensuring residents can cover both rent and essential needs.  NewsChannel 5

  • Today, the Department of Safety and Homeland Security reminded students, parents and school staff that they can report safety threats using the SafeTN app or through phone, email or the online form—local law enforcement, mental health professionals and school officials will review the reports around the clock.  Sumner County Source
