  • Kim Meadows is leaving Portland High after a 25-year career to become the School Counselor Coordinator at Sumner County Schools central office—she steps into the role formerly held by Bobbie Cain. Her work as a teacher, counselor, and assistant principal has left a lasting mark on local education.  Hendersonville Standard

SPORTS NEWS

  • A local sports columnist predicted that the Gallatin (Green Wave) will break a losing streak of six games by beating the Hendersonville Commandos 20 to 7 on Friday night football. He also noted forecasts for other Sumner County matchups that include new coach debuts and roster changes.  Hendersonville Standard
