GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Old Shackle Island Road near the railroad crossing will be closed from Aug. 19 to 22 to let workers widen the road and move the crossing arms as part of the Walton Ferry and Old Shackle Island Road Realignment Project—businesses will keep access through Main Street.  Hendersonville Standard
  • Middle Tennessee roads will have nightly lane closures for resurfacing, bridge repair, and utility work until August 20, with closures on interstates like I-24, I-40, and I-65 starting at 8 p.m. plus local road projects on SR 6 in Hendersonville will also cause brief daytime lane restrictions.  Sumner County Source
