- ➤ This weekend in Sumner County, five events are planned including a mosaic stepping stone craft class on August 2 at The Artistan Hatchery in Gallatin, a 60-minute hymn service on Friday at The Palace Theater in Gallatin, and an Edgar Allan Poe speakeasy in Hendersonville (held at Lighthouse on the Lake) running on August 1 and 2. The Hendersonville Performing Arts Center presents a Dreamcatcher Cabaret on August 2, and Bagsby Ranch in Gallatin hosts a Boots & BBQ fundraiser featuring Grammy Award winner John Berry to support veteran arts. - ➤ County Mayor John Isbell addressed a full house on July 25 at Good Morning Gallatin at The Station to present the FY 2025-26 budget, which shows roughly $118.5M in revenue and $119.2M in expenditures with no tax increase—unused funds are returned by county departments each year. He also detailed upcoming road projects, new EMS stations, a new health center in Hendersonville, flood mitigation plans near Highway 25, and urged residents to participate in the upcoming elections.
