COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Second Gen Graveyard is hosting its second annual Trans Am A-Rama from today through Sunday, July 27, with 80 classic cars registered and all proceeds going to the Gallatin Police Department's Shop with a Cop program—this charity helps fund a Christmas shopping trip for local children. The four-day event will include a scavenger hunt, car cruise, car shows, and drag strip passes and is expected to raise about $10,000 for the cause.  Hendersonville Standard

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Tennessee’s annual tax free weekend on clothing, school supplies and computers will begin at 12:01 a.m. Friday, July 25 and end at 11:59 p.m. Sunday, July 27. Residents can shop online or in stores for qualifying items without sales tax—restrictions apply.  Sumner County Source

  • Station Camp sophomore Brayden Dolan is ranked as the nation’s top high school long snapper who impressed coaches with his fast, precise snaps on offense and special teams — he will play center in the fall and has attracted multiple college offers including from Cincinnati and Louisiana-Monroe — his strong performance last season sets him apart for further success.  Hendersonville Standard
