On June 26th, detectives with Hendersonville Police executed Operation Gummy Trap — following complaints of underage vape sales — at 253 New Shackle Island Rd, seizing marijuana, illegal hemp and CBD products while charging 25-year-old Omar Alazab with Resale of Schedule VI and Drug Paraphernalia as additional charges are anticipated.

Volunteers in Sumner County preserved over 10,000 glass plate negatives from the early 1900s—each negative was carefully cleaned, indexed, and saved by the county archives to capture its past.

Their work, which grew from an initial count of 7,000 negatives to 10,157, ensured that a vital visual record of local history will not be lost.
