- ➤ Girls flag football had its emerging sport status removed Tuesday as TSSAA voted unanimously to sanction a permanent state championship—an update that follows a pilot program in Williamson County where 127 teams competed. The sport will be played in the spring with two classes and 16 regions next season. Hendersonville Standard
- ➤ Green Hill Athletic Director EJ Wood was unanimously approved Tuesday as the new assistant executive director for the TSSAA and will replace Gene Menees, who retires on August 31 after 34 years in the role. The board also reviewed plans for a new 19,000-square-foot office building with 24 office spaces — a move that comes as updated transfer eligibility policies were finalized for student-athletes with special needs.
