CULTURE NEWS

  • Hendersonville Arts Council will host the third annual Hendersonville Arts Festival (presented by U.S. Bank) at Sanders Ferry Park on Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 10. The free event will showcase local, regional, and national artists (appealing to families and collectors) during Mother’s Day weekend.  Hendersonville Standard

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Residents whose homes were damaged by Winter Storm Fern may get up to $2,500 in sales tax refunds if they receive FEMA assistance. They must save receipts and file claims within one year (FEMA approval letter required) through the TNTAP website or by mail.  Sumner County Source
  • Deputy Nick Given was honored by VFW Hendersonville Post 9851 for his swift actions on Feb. 19 at Station Camp Middle School — where he detained a student and secured a loaded firearm before anyone was harmed — earning him the Outstanding Service to the Community award during Safety Day and Awards.  Sumner County Source

  • Last Thursday the Titans exercised the option on left guard Peter Skoronski for the 2027 season — signing five draft picks and 11 undrafted free agents while waiving six players to create roster space.  Hendersonville Standard
