- ➤ Walmart will remodel 24 stores in Tennessee in 2025, including the store at 204 N Anderson Lane in Hendersonville, to upgrade signage, displays, online pickup, and pharmacy areas. This project is part of a nationwide effort and follows over $768 million spent on Tennessee store improvements in the past five years (a move to enhance the in-store experience). - ➤ TBI agents and the Millersville Police arrested Christopher Roach on April 25 after finding he intentionally set vehicle fires on Woody Lane in Millersville on April 24 and he now faces charges of vandalism over $10,000 and arson on personal property while serving as a volunteer firefighter. - ➤ A Sumner County jury found Malik M. Parker guilty of aggravated child abuse after a three-day trial in Criminal Court & he will be sentenced on June 6 by Judge Dee David Gay. Sumner County Source
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ TDOT will shift traffic on I-65 by closing one lane in each direction from 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 27 until 5 a.m. on April 28 on a 3.4-mile stretch between Exit 96 and Exit 98; similar lane closures will happen on April 28 and 29 as crews widen the interstate from four to six lanes—adding an extra lane in each direction and replacing eight bridges—. - ➤ The Tennessee High School Senior Real Estate Licensing Program accepted applications on April 21, offering about 150 free spots for seniors to complete required coursework and exams.
