GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Secretary of State Tre Hargett warned Tennesseans against donation scams as communities recovered from tornadoes and floods, urging donors to research charities and verify legitimacy before giving. He advised using checks or credit cards rather than cash and recommended asking for receipts (call 615 741-2555 for questions).  Hendersonville Standard
  • On April 11, Mayor Jamie Clary gave his State of the City address and said the city started a road realignment project on Old Shackle Island and Walton Ferry Roads that began in February and will finish in May 2027. He said the city is spending $7.34 million on 49 miles of paving this year and is planning the Heritage Park Project at 119 East Drive and the Northside Logistics Park development by Lincoln Property Company — with the first building expected in early 2026.  Hendersonville Standard

HEALTH NEWS

  • Highpoint Health with Ascension Saint Thomas announced last week that it will file a Certificate of Need to expand services and add inpatient beds at its Sumner Station campus on Big Station Camp Boulevard in Gallatin. The expansion plan will add twelve medical/surgical beds, a four-bed intensive care unit and an endoscopy suite—broadening ancillary services like pharmacy and lab support.  Hendersonville Standard

  • KiKi’s Kitchen on West Main St in City Square opened in July 2024 and is owned by Bryan and Chantha Graves—its menu blends Southern and Asian fusion flavors with in-house meals including a $9.99 cheeseburger special, $5.99 catfish and chicken tender options, and new steak deals.  Hendersonville Standard
