  • TSSAA executive director Mark Reeves is working to implement House Bill 25/Senate Bill 16’s one-time transfer rule as Sumner County Schools may soon adjust their strict zone system to align with the law.  Hendersonville Standard

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The state legislature approved Senate Bill 1469 today that bans children under 14 from appearing in online videos for payment—content creators featuring minors aged 14 to 18 must keep records detailing appearances and compensation while facing a $2,000 penalty for violations.  Sumner County Source

HEALTH NEWS

  • Highpoint Health – Sumner was nationally recognized by the American Heart Association as one of its inaugural All-Star Training Centers for lifesaving heart health training. The hospital met strict performance standards with its low-dose, high-frequency program (per AHA guidelines) and will display its official badge to assure community safety.  Hendersonville Standard
