- ➤ The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation released its fifth solicitation under the Volkswagen Diesel Settlement Environmental Mitigation Trust to fund projects that help replace or retrofit medium- and heavy-duty diesel vehicles with alternative-fuel or electric options. Applications are due by June 13 at 4 p.m. CDT — a webinar workshop will be held on April 11 from 2-4 p.m. CDT — and TDEC will review the grants after the workshop. Sumner County Source
