  • Gallatin Cares in Sumner Co. is boosting its food pantry capacity for 1,000 people a week amid rising inflation and gas prices by adding a 26 ft refrigerator and freezer truck — increasing storage for perishable foods.   • Tennessee Gov Bill Lee and Deputy Gov McWhorter announced that the state will host the 48th SEUS/Japan Annual Joint Meeting in Nashville from Oct. 25-27. Former Gov Haslam will chair the event alongside Japanese co-chairs from Bridgestone & Japan-USSE.  Sumner County Source

  • Hendersonville soccer earned back-to-back wins — beating Portland 9-0 and Beech 5-2 on Tuesday — and started its first winning streak of the season.  Hendersonville Standard
  • Green Hill Hawks beat Wilson Central 9-3 on Wednesday after a five-run second inning lifted them to a district sweep, and they remain in second place as they prepare to host California’s Los Gatos High School Friday afternoon.  Hendersonville Standard
  • Kentucky signee Kaden Powell moved to first base and pitched five outs in Beech's 3 to 1 win at Hendersonville on Wednesday, Apr. 8. His first inning double helped the Buccaneers clinch the regular-season district championship.  Hendersonville Standard
