- ➤ Today at the Carolyn Smith Innovation Center, 80 high school students and teachers from Beech, Gallatin, Westmoreland and Hendersonville high schools built 40 beds for students in need as part of the Sumner Gives Back campaign. Volunteers from Sleep in Heavenly Peace (TN, Sumner Co) will deliver and set up the completed beds. Sumner County Source

- ➤ Local contestants Jordan McCollough and Lucas Leon advanced to the top 11 on American Idol after outstanding performances during Monday night’s 90s-themed show – a careful vote count confirmed their positions. Sumner County Source

- ➤ The Titans are weighing their options at No. 4 in the draft to add a playmaker for quarterback Cam Ward. They might choose Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love or opt for a conventional pick as the team works to boost its offense before the season begins. Hendersonville Standard

- ➤ Starting next season, Nashville Predators will offer free over-the-air TV broadcasts through a multi-year deal with Scripps Sports, with games airing on NewsChannel 5 and The Spot (covering preseason, regular season and first-round playoff matchups) for Middle Tennessee fans.
