University of Tennessee researchers worked with 182 gardeners in 53 counties to test 854 garden trials in 2024—participants rated vegetables, herbs, and flowers on traits like germination, plant health, yield, and flavor during challenging weather.

The results are published in a UT Extension guide to help local gardeners choose the best varieties for spring.

Hendersonville officials are considering enacting developer impact fees to offset rising service costs from new construction, following a consultant's study and a workshop held before the March 25 meeting.
