Tennessee gas prices increased 10 cents last week to an average of $2.80 at the pump; the price is one penny higher than one month ago but remains 34 cents lower than a year ago.

AAA spokeswoman Megan Cooper said the rise reflects higher crude oil costs and increased seasonal demand as drivers fill up during spring break.

Emergency personnel safely removed the shark and will investigate how the saltwater species entered the lake—officials remain uncertain about the cause.
