  • About 300 people attended the Sherry’s Hope Gala at the Farm Bureau Expo Center on March 29, where Renee Hunt shared her story of cancer treatment through her poem ‘My Life Detour’—with live and silent auctions and music by C Dock Boyz adding to the event. Sherry’s Hope raised more than $285,000 to help over 130 families in 2024—continuing its mission to support cancer patients and their families.  Hendersonville Standard

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled a new student and community art exhibition today in the Taylor Swift Education Center titled "A Community of Artists" which features quilts made by local high school students and adults from Smart Art and Craft Supplies in partnership with Metro Nashville Public Schools. The museum offers free admission for local youth and discounted tickets for two accompanying adults — proof of residency is required.  Sumner County Source

SPORTS NEWS

  • Steven Stamkos said he wants to help improve the Predators after his first season in Nashville did not meet expectations. He signed a four-year, $32 million deal last July and the team will work to learn from its struggles to be more competitive next season.  Hendersonville Standard
  • BGA baseball built its winning streak to three with an 8-5 win against JPII on the road Saturday. Meanwhile, the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association will launch a 20-student advisory committee this spring—giving student-athletes a new voice in decision-making.  Hendersonville Standard
