EDUCATION NEWS

  • TN Tech's 'Transfer Tech to You' event is set for March 30 at Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin — prospective transfer students will have a chance to meet admissions counselors and learn about earning a four-year degree from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. CT — with free refreshments available.  Sumner County Source

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Hendersonville Civitan Titans youth tackle football program is accepting registrations for players aged 4 and up until July 15. Fees are $225 until July 1 — $245 after, with community conditioning sessions beginning in June and practices set for late July or early August.  Sumner County Source
  • The Titans re-signed running back Julius Chestnut to a one-year deal after he played in all 17 games last season on special teams, tallying 17 tackles. His performance supports the team as it prepares for upcoming contests.  Sumner County Source
