  • Hendersonville Performing Arts Company presents Mamma Mia directed by Lewis Walling in an upcoming musical that brings a sunny Greek island to life. The performance follows Sophie’s quest to find her real father + features three men connected to her past.  Hendersonville Standard

  • Four cadets from Hendersonville High School earned a coveted spot at the 2026 JROTC Leadership & Academic Bowl Championship in Washington, D.C. after advancing through two competitive online rounds among over 5,000 teams.  Hendersonville Standard

HEALTH NEWS

  • Justin Werlick, serving as Highpoint Health’s Substance Use & Recovery Navigator since March 2025, received a Health Leadership Award from the Sumner County Health Committee on Tuesday, Feb. 24 and now helps local patients find substance abuse treatment through community referrals.  Hendersonville Standard
  • TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center has been named one of Healthgrades America’s 100 Best Hospitals for 2026 — placing it among the top two percent of hospitals nationwide after five consecutive years as one of the Top 250. SPORTS NEWS

  • Beech won the Region 4-4A title with a 69-67 overtime victory over Lebanon on Thursday after Cutter Sisk hit a game-winning basket as time expired. The win gives the team a chance to face Cookeville on Monday at home as they aim for their sixth state tournament appearance.  Hendersonville Standard
  • GEODIS Park will host an English Premier League friendly between Liverpool FC and Sunderland AFC on Saturday, July 25 as part of TEG Sport’s Summer Soccer Series.   • Summit seniors Zachery Little and Samantha O’Leary were honored at Wednesday’s Dream Team Awards banquet sponsored by the Middle Tennessee Wrestling Officials Association. Little, a two-time state champion who signed a college wrestling scholarship with Appalachian State, made the boys list at 157 pounds while O’Leary finished second at 235 pounds.  Hendersonville Standard
  • The Lions announced Thursday that they hired two-time state champion Marty Euverard (a 2023 inductee in the Tennessee Coaches Association Hall of Fame) as the program's second head coach.  Hendersonville Standard
