EDUCATION NEWS

  • Sumner County Schools hosted the state-level VEX IQ Robotics tournament on Saturday, Feb. 28 at local schools where about 300 students built innovative robots (sponsored by Meta’s Gallatin Data Center and Tennessee Valley Robotics) and the district will host the state competition again next year.  Sumner County Source

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • TDOT closed US-31W in both directions and detoured southbound I-65 in Sumner County on Wednesday, Mar. 4 for a bridge deck pour on the new I-65 bridge. Future closures will run from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Monday, Mar. 9 and Wednesday, Mar. 11 as part of the ongoing I-65 widening and improvements project.  Hendersonville Standard

SPORTS NEWS

  • Green Hill girls basketball team clinched its first region championship with a score of 55 to 29 over Mt. Juliet in Region 4-4A finals on March 4. The win marks a historic milestone for the program.  Hendersonville Standard
