EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ TDOT has partnered with the College System of Tennessee to offer CDL and welding training for its employees at TCAT campuses across all regions, with an $850,000 investment that will support the program through Dec. 31, 2028 + help meet the state’s infrastructure needs. Hendersonville Standard
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Local college basketball teams have a big week ahead as conference tournaments offer the only path to the NCAA Tournament; Belmont will play in the Missouri Valley Conference in St. Louis starting Friday (teams from Austin Peay, Lipscomb and Tennessee State also compete). - ➤ Cheatham County Central's Lady Cubs and Sycamore's Lady War Eagles advanced to today's region semifinals at Waverly Central after Friday wins of 54-41 and 51-32; the Lady Cubs will face Huntingdon while the Lady War Eagles take on district rival Stewart County. Hendersonville Standard
