- ➤ Pop icon Tiffany will headline Monthaven Art and Cultural Center’s Heritage Music Series TIFF Pop Takeover on Sunday, Jan. 11 at 6 p.m. at 1017 Antebellum Cir in Hendersonville (Brothers in Black will perform Johnny Cash classics before her set). Sumner County Source

- ➤ Former Wilson County Schools board chair Larry Tomlinson offered to serve as an interim for Zone 5 after Donnie Self resigned, pending approval from the Wilson County Commission at its Jan. 20 meeting; local constituents encouraged his return due to his extensive board experience. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ TDOT will conduct lane closures across Middle Tennessee through January 10 for repairs, inspections and utility work, including alternating night closures on SR 6 in Hendersonville for roadway improvements. Motorists are advised to obey detour signs + reduce speed limits in all work zones. Sumner County Source
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Green Hill cornerback TJ Buchanan committed to the University of Indianapolis on Friday — he chose UIndy over offers from Eastern Kentucky, UT Martin and Stetson University. The senior recorded 41 tackles and two interceptions last fall and now joins teammate Jajuan Stafford in the local college pipeline. Hendersonville Standard
