About this event
Please note: this is a self-guided session. The workout is written up and ready for you to run on your own. There is no coach on the floor leading or programming during the class. Threshold pace is the fastest effort you can hold steady without blowing up. “Comfortably hard,” around a 7–8 out of 10. Training here raises the ceiling on the pace you can sustain before fatigue takes over. Think orange zone: right at the edge where lactate starts to build faster than your body can clear it. For HYROX, that ceiling is your race. You’re running 8 x 1km with your heart rate already elevated from the station before it. Threshold work is what lets you hold pace on run 6 instead of watching it slip 20 seconds per kilometre. It’s the single highest-return run session for HYROX athletes. The format: • Warm-up (5 min): easy jog, drills, a few strides to open up • Main set (35–40 min): threshold work intervals with short recoveries between • Cool-down (5 min): easy jog and stretch The main set changes every session. Intervals may be based on time or distance, long or short, straight sets or blocks, but the target effort stays the same. Come ready to hold an honest, repeatable pace rather than race the first rep. Access: included with a Tread membership or HYROX membership. Without one, a drop-in fee applies. Spots must be reserved in advance. Book yours to secure your place.
