Come hang with us! Aerial Hoop, also known as Lyra, is a large metal hoop suspended in the air. It is a fascinating circus apparatus in which students learn beautiful maneuvers and shapes on. Aerial Hoop is a great way to train like the cirque pros while being elegant and graceful like a dancer. In this Freshman/Sophomore level class, you will learn a variety of techniques to mount the hoop and basic tricks and poses along with flexibility exercises. You will develop your skills moving toward holding yourself up in this amazing apparatus for minutes at a time! Various sized double point and single point hoops are used as well as a special trapeze hoop. WHAT TO WEAR/BRING Leggings, t-shirt/tank, barefoot, water. No hand or wrist jewelry, watches, zippers, belts or shoes. Stop at the front desk prior to class if you have permanent jewelry. HOW THE WAITLIST WORKS When a class is fully booked, you have the option to join the waitlist. When you join the waitlist, you will automatically be added to the class if someone cancels their reservation. Being on a waitlist means that you fully plan on attending the class if you get added. Students are added to classes (from the waitlist) up to 1 hour before each class begins. If you can no longer attend the class, you are responsible for removing yourself from the waitlist. If you get added to the class and can no longer attend or don't show up, it is considered a late-cancel and your class will be forfeited. ATTENDANCE Arrive 5 minutes early. No entry once the warmup ends. If you cannot attend, cancel your reservation at least 12 hours before class starts or your credit will be late canceled and forfeited.
