  • Young entrepreneurs showcased creative products at the Spring Young Entrepreneur Fair held Saturday, April 4 at the Glen Oak HOA Clubhouse (101 Agee Circle East) and featured 28 vendors while Danielle LaCoste said the event taught key business skills.  Hendersonville Standard
  • The Hendersonville Pastors Fellowship has announced that the 2026 National Day of Prayer observance will feature a breakfast event on Thursday, May 7 at Community Church (381 West Main Street), marking the 75th national celebration with the theme 'Glorify God among the Nations, Seeking Him in All.'  Hendersonville Standard
  • This weekend, events include the Buttercup Festival at South Water Manor tomorrow (10am-2pm) and a hummingbird talk plus storytelling workshop on Saturday, while today families can join Super Mario Galaxy Parents’ Night Out at Hendersonville Martial Arts (6-9pm) and participate in the History Hunt until June 30.  Sumner County Source
  • Press Forward Middle Tennessee, housed at the Community Foundation, will launch a region-wide survey and unite local news leaders & community partners to identify and fill news gaps across the region. ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A fire at the Hickory Run Apartments on Saturday morning displaced families when residents evacuated at 2 a.m. after an alarm triggered a blaze on West Main Street, with firefighters, the Red Cross, and neighbors providing aid while the investigation continues.  Hendersonville Standard

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Sumner County Museum unveiled its 'Early Settlers' exhibit on April 1 in the Administration Building rotunda, showing artifacts from county founding including a land grant. The museum will join Historic Sites Kickoff Day on April 11 plus host a booth at Square Fest on April 25 with The Luggnutts.  Hendersonville Standard

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Hendersonville Police are accepting applications for a 10-week Citizens Police Academy (limited to 22 participants) that will start on Sept. 17 and run weekly until Nov. 19, offering residents hands-on insight into police work and community engagement.  Sumner County Source

  • Health inspectors in Sumner County released routine scores — covering food service, child care and tattoo studios — from March 25 to April 9 for local establishments in Hendersonville, Gallatin and Westmoreland.  Sumner County Source

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Anglers in Hendersonville are fishing for red-eyed sunfish (also known as rock bass) in local streams and creeks, as these small fish offer an easy catch for a relaxed summer outing; local lore even recalls a record two-pound catch from Stones River.  Hendersonville Standard
