About this event
Written and performed by an iconic, Emmy-nominated actor, producer, director, and humorist, Tim Reid’s One Man Show isn’t just a performance, it’s a journey through the harshness of poverty, segregation, meaning, and the unapologetic truth of becoming. Blending sharp wit, lived history, and unfiltered insight, Tim takes audiences from the streets of “Colored Town” as a child of the south, to the sound stages of Hollywood — not just to build a career, but to challenge the system. Tim calls himself a “jackleg historian”, who has used his television and film career to champion the cause to bring integrity and truth to the history of Black Culture. Through decades of experience, he brings the learned wisdom of ancestral intelligence to center stage. Audiences will laugh, reflect, and walk away with stories the likes of which they were never told before. This ticketed event will take place in the Roots Theater at NMAAM. Pre-registration is required.
